Explore all the eras and pieces of my life that make me who I am! Bursting out into the engineering management scene in high school, I've since evolved into a seasoned engineer, designer, and strategist. Click on a picture to learn more.
I attended UCMHS, a STEM-based high school in New Jersey where I learned the engineering design process, basic CAD, basic manufacturing, and basic project management. Here, I developed an interest in developing impactful products through classes like Human Factors Engineering.
I participated in FIRST Robotics Competition every year of high school, where I started on the Strategy subteam, using data and observations to drive decisions and match strategy, before moving to executive leadership roles as VP and President. There, I oversaw the team design and manufacturing schedule, managed logistics, and was the face of the team at competitions. I also managed the drive team in real time as Drive Coach, making strategic decisions on the field of every match.
For my Engineering Design Capstone at UCMHS, I set out to improve the standardization of a clothes hanger, a common household item normally overlooked. Over the school year, I conceptualized, researched, ideated, designed, and prototyped a clothes hanger that changes size.
Read more about the design processAfter a rough season weighed down by communication issues and design indecision, I spearheaded the reorganization of my robotics team. This included researching successful org structures, considering stakeholder input, and implementing changes throughout the team to set the team up for a better, more sustainable future.
Read more about the design processI themed my grad cap on swimming, a sport I've been doing for over a decade. As I transitioned from the comfortable experience of my hometown to the new, unknown environment of university, I remember that not everything needs an exact plan, though those always help me to frame and contextualize situations. Swim teaches me discipline, trust in my training and abilities, and the ability to find my way through the stream hurtling me through the universe.
I started studying at the University of Waterloo in September 2024, entering the unique 5-year engineering co-op program, studying Systems Design Engineering, minoring in Management Sciences and planning to specialize in Human Factors. Right off the bat, I felt at home surrounded by passionate designers and thinkers. I am currently working towards building my reputation as an academic weapon and an effective project manager in and out of the classroom.
I've already gained foundational knowledge through my classes at Waterloo Engineering. I created a project in SolidWorks, learning how to CAD parts and assemblies, building on my Fusion360 and AutoCAD knowledge from high school. I also coded extensively in C++ and was exposed to MATLAB. Besides those hard technical skills, I've gained a better understanding of how the engineering design process applies to industry.
Read about my class SolidWorks projectOutside the classroom, I've taken steps to expand my technical and management knowledge. I learned basic front-end (HTML/CSS/JavaScript) from video tutorials. I quickly developed a liking to Figma through personal interest projects. I learned about Scrum through a ScrumStudy course and Lean Methodolgies from an MIT lecture series. I'm constantly searching for new endeavors to tackle to expand my understanding of the tech industry.
Read about my recent Figma projectWARG is a design team that develops custom UAVs to compete and develop new innovative solutions with. On the Operations team, I liaised with sponsors and did administrative tasks, and was then promoted to Logistics Manager, where I spearheaded planning for the team. I am now an Operations Lead that secured two new sponsors, obtained over $10k of funding, and managed finance and organizational systems.
I participated in KPMG's Ace the Case case competition at a local level, successfully implementing quantitative analysis and strategic recommendations to bring my team to victory. At the national level, I worked with my team to present another case to KPMG partners in-person. I also met like-minded peers and KPMG staff that supported my interest in intersecting business and tech.
