A shallow dive into the Scrum framework by applying it to pop culture

So many business development intern jobs were looking for candidates with experience in a Scrum work environment. I have no industry work experience, so I could not even speak to that requirement.
The first step in this process was understanding the Scrum framework, but that was relatively easily accomplished through the loads of courses that exist online. The goal of creating a project around this was to be able to display and synthesize the information I was intaking.
I decided to take a free Scrum certification course to expand my basic knowledge of the framework. I got Scrum Fundamentals Certified by the corresponding Scrum Study course. This course allowed me to deeply understand every meeting and communication channel that makes the Scrum framework what it is.
To demonstrate my comprehensive understanding of the framework, I broke down the plot of Captain America: The Winter Soldier using Scrum sprints. I created an infographic that detailed the goal, backlog, and review of each sprint as relevant to the movie’s plot. By breaking down a plot I know so well using an industry-standard working framework, I was able to adapt my perspective on the world to see anything as a project that requires structure and management.
Going into this project, I only had a basic understanding of Scrum as an alternative project management style that used sprints and daily standups to keep a project on task. Now, I have gained a deeper understanding and appreciation for the Scrum framework as one that highlights customer requirements and tangible deliverables. By applying my knowledge to a story I know well, I was able to orient my mind to see anything as a project in need of management, even one as fictional as the fall of SHIELD in the MCU.
